Under the general direction of a Senior Transportation Electrical Engineer, the Transportation Engineer (Electrical) will perform quality assurance testing on electrical/electronic products used in the California Transportation System. The role is headquartered in the Materials Engineering and Testing Services Laboratory in Sacramento and may require extensive travel. Conduct quality assurance testing on electrical/electronic products. Assist with documentation and reporting of testing results. Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve issues. Maintain compliance with state and federal safety regulations. Special Requirements
Valid driver’s license required when operating a state‑owned or leased vehicle. For range D: valid Professional Engineering License (Electrical) issued by California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers. Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) required: typed, 12‑point font, no more than 2 pages. Application Instructions
