Salary:

$6,488.00 - $12,152.00 per Month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.

Under the direction of the Branch Chief of Central Systems & Traffic Management Centers (TMCs) Support, a Senior Transportation Electrical Engineer (Supervisor), the incumbent, a Transportation Engineer (Electrical), serves as the System Application Engineer in the Central Systems & TMC Support Branch.

The incumbent designs system architecture, develops specifications for new technologies, performs systems engineering, manages the scope and deliverables for outsourced technology development and acquisition, supports software development, and provides technical and sustaining engineering for the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) used to operate the Department's traffic management and control systems.

Working Conditions Position located at 1820 Alhambra Blvd., Sacramento, Sacramento County.

Minimum Requirements

Salary Range:

A $6,488.00 – $7,735.00

B $7,428.00 – $9,296.00

C $8,896.00 – $11,131.00

D $9,712.00 – $12,152.00 (requires Professional Engineering License for Range D)
