Oracle Apex Developer – Richmond, VA, Remote

Job Summary The City seeks a full‑time Oracle Apex full stack developer to support a robust financial application supporting key revenue streams for the City. Candidate must be experienced with designing and executing complex Oracle SQL logic in the integration of data to support its Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning system.

Required/Desired Skills

Oracle Apex full stack developer:

gathering requirements, developing and implementing browser‑based applications using Application Express.

Custom Oracle applications:

designing and maintaining using Oracle Apex.

Scripts:

developing SQL, PL/SQL for data conversion and migration.

External tables, joins, indexes and sequences:

ability to write ad‑hoc SQL queries and shell scripts as needed.

Query optimization:

performance and tuning (PL/SQL) using SQL Trace, Explain Plan, Indexing, Hints, Bulk Binds, Bulk Collect.

Debugging:

complex applications and remediating defects in a fast‑paced environment.

Dynamic reports:

effective creation within Oracle APEX environment using APEX reporting tools.

Leadership:

ability to lead groups, gather requirements, define solution sets and remediate defects.
