Analyst - Investment Banking, Leveraged Finance & Debt Advisory
Guggenheim Securities is seeking an Analyst to join the Leveraged Finance & Debt Advisory Group.
Position Summary In this role, you will support senior bankers on capital structure solutions for public, private, and sponsor‑backed clients, including structuring, marketing, and negotiating asset‑based credit facilities, loans, mezzanine, and HoldCo debt. You will also be involved in acquisition financing and syndicated private debt issuances.
Essential Job Functions
Work with senior Leveraged Finance & Debt Advisory bankers to evaluate, pitch, and execute financing transactions across the firm’s industry and other product verticals.
Assist in day‑to‑day deal execution and project management, including credit due diligence, LBO/cash‑flow modeling, lender presentation creation, lender outreach, and due diligence facilitation.
Develop and maintain complex financial models and conduct comparable financing analyses.
Analyze business fundamentals, reviewing company strengths and risks, current and pro forma capitalization, and historical and projected financial performance.
Help prepare and contribute to deal pitches, including idea generation and research on LBO and financing opportunities.
Monitor and present trends in debt capital markets and the private equity landscape.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in investment banking, accounting, consulting, private equity, hedge fund or corporate finance.
Proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word.
Maturity, teamwork, and the ability to interface with senior management and clients.
Resourcefulness, intellectual curiosity, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in finance.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Highly organized with initiative and ability to work with limited supervision.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of a 2025 Bachelor’s degree.
Core modeling and valuation experience.
Must acquire SIE, Series 7, Series 79 and Series 63 within 150 days of employment.
Work Location The role is expected to be based in the New York office at least four days per week.
Salary Annual base salary between $110,000 and $135,000, with potential incentive compensation.
