Job Purpose / Background The Outsourced Platform Services (OPS) group provides middle office and accounting services to clients who have outsourced these functions to BlackRock. OPS is currently embarked on an exciting program of work to evolve our accounting and middle office operating platforms and to extend our asset class coverage.

Role Responsibilities

Management of Client Relationships for accounting and middle office services

Build relationships and be an excellent partner through regular communication with key personnel at each client to effectively lead client expectations

Meet with senior partners to discuss the overall relationship, new initiatives, and address questions and concerns about our service

Conduct regular business reviews to ensure clients are satisfied with the service offering and acquire feedback

Prepare for and host regular client meetings/relationship reviews; ensure each meeting is detailed and follow-up items addressed

Develop action plans to address and advance feedback provided by the client

Develop strong understanding of assigned clients – including portfolio structure, objectives, and service requirements

Assist clients in various ad-hoc analyses and provide input relating to the treatment and impact of operating pronouncements and reporting requirements

Provide clear concise feedback to client requests

Serve as a liaison between the client and the various BlackRock teams assigned to support the client to ensure excellent client service and client satisfaction

Distribute business updates, service model improvements, and industry thought leadership topics to clients

Experience Required The successful candidate will have experience and proven understanding as it relates to various investment types, middle office services, and accounting and financial reporting along with a strong client service focus.

BS degree in Finance or Accounting; or related experience

8 years of financial/accounting work experience preferred

Understanding of investments such as fixed income, derivatives, alternatives, mortgage loans, equities, etc.

Comprehension of middle office services, including data, trade flow, and reconciliation activities that drive middle office servicing

Familiarity with GAAP/STAT/IFRS financial documents and accounting policies for investments

Effective communication skills to deal directly with clients and across all levels of staff and management

Ability to prioritize assignments without losing sight of overall objectives and deadlines and time management skills

Strong decision-making skills to make well thought out decisions based on information provided

Strong attention to detail and project management skills

Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment

Solid understanding of Microsoft office products

Travel to clients as needed

Compensation For Wilmington, DE Only the salary range for this position is USD$125,000.00 – USD$170,000.00. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
