What You Will Do
Work with engineers across the business to propose, design, develop, integrate, and document detailed designs of large assemblies and sub‑assemblies within the mechanical design department using CREO.
Communicate with engineering team members and suppliers to design, model, and document the design technical data package (TDP) and its capabilities and compliance with configuration and drafting requirements.
Support development, evaluation, and analysis of mechanical designs.
Generate drawings, release drawings, and incorporate drawing changes.
Hold design reviews and resolve action items.
Oversee reworks and/or modification procedures.
Support the production floor on a regular basis, collecting issues, providing status, and participating in problem resolution.
Utilize CREO CAD tool for modeling and documentation creation.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
Six years or more of design drafting experience in a Mechanical Engineering role.
Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools, CREO with advanced modeling experience.
Experience with any Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), tolerance analyses, drawing practices and interpretation (ASME Y-14.5) for mechanical hardware.
Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience in CREO Parametric, CREO View and Model Based Definition (MBD).
Experience in PDM/Windchill.
Experience in multiple CAD Design Tools — SolidWorks/CREO/AutoCAD.
Solid understanding of configuration management practices.
Experience military, or aerospace specifications and/or industry design standards.
Strong technical background with high technical aptitude and attention to detail.
Very strong communications and interpersonal skills when working with team members.
