Packet Broker migration
Tasks and Responsibilities
Open FDR for project
Audit packet broker configs and work with various teams to complete PEC design/review
Drive layer 1 deployment based on PEC/design
Work with regional team to conduct Layer 1 testing/validation
Leverage internal automation tools to create a golden config for packet broker
Perform hands‑on configurations for packet brokers using golden config
Test hands‑on configurations using Datainsight/SevOne
Perform migration of traffic
Troubleshoot issues encountered during MW
Perform post‑migration KPI validations using nG1
Skills
Ability to validate KPIs pre and post changes
Advanced knowledge of Irisview and NG1 systems and their KPI validation for each change in visibility fabric
Extensive knowledge of VZ 4G and 5G network call flow
Extensive knowledge of traffic migrations for all monitored interfaces
Wireless network element interface understanding for both PNFs and VNFs
Configuration and architecture expertise for Extreme Networks and Keysight
Ability to translate Extreme running configuration into a Keysight configuration
Project management skills: coordinating tickets, requests, PEC creation, element failovers, transport deployments, inventory management, Extreme Core/Market RE work, and Keysight RE work
Wireless Network Visibility infrastructure troubleshooting and automation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
10–15 years of hands‑on experience as a network engineer
