Skilled Care Regional Business Office Manager

Job Summary:
The Regional Business Office Manager supports facility revenue operations by ensuring effective communication, training, and execution of revenue-related processes. The role works closely with facility staff to drive compliance and performance in revenue cycle functions and provides guidance and hands‑on support to Business Office Managers at the facility level. This position is remote but requires travel to our Ohio and Kentucky Atrium Centers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide direct support to Business Office Managers, ensuring adherence to revenue cycle policies and best practices.
Conduct accounts receivable reviews and develop action plans for revenue improvement.
Ensure timely and accurate financial close revenue for assigned facilities.
Train and educate facility staff on revenue-related processes, including admissions, private pay collections, and financial counseling.
Collaborate with the Revenue Manager to implement policies and strategies that enhance revenue cycle performance.
Act as a liaison between facility operations and corporate revenue cycle leadership.
Monitor revenue trends and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Assist in resolving revenue cycle issues, including claim denials, outstanding balances, and payer disputes.
Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and company policies related to billing, collections, and resident trust accounts.
Conduct routine audits to ensure compliance with business office standards and best practices.
Provide interim coverage and leadership at the facility level when BOM positions are vacant.
Ensure proper financial verification and pre‑admission screening procedures are followed.
Provide ongoing education related to changes in reimbursement systems, payer requirements, or internal policies.
Qualifications and Experience
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in revenue cycle management or financial operations within healthcare.
Strong understanding of skilled nursing facility billing and reimbursement processes.
Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to travel periodically to multiple facility locations.
Key Performance Metrics
Accuracy and timeliness of accounts receivable reviews and financial close revenue.
Effectiveness of training provided to Business Office Managers.
Reduction in outstanding receivables and denials.
Compliance with revenue cycle policies and best practices.
