What You Will Be Doing: Start your new and rewarding career with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment (AFS) Team as a Quality Assurance Inspector on our F-35 Program! This position is part of the Quality Management team supporting F-35 aircraft Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) maintenance operations at NAS Fallon, Fallon Nevada. Responsibilities include:
Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspection functions on maintenance, ALIS and any other entities that support the contract to ensure compliance with applicable government and company processes and procedures, aircraft workbook specifications and engineering drawings/technical data.
The candidate is expected to approve or reject work accomplished by team members.
Assist with Environmental, Safety, Health (ESH) requirements as needed.
Conduct inspection of aircraft component removal/replacement; scheduled and unscheduled maintenance; Time Compliance Technical Directive (TCTD) execution and aircraft ground handling/servicing.
Evaluate process compliance, write/review Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) reports, perform root cause analysis and validate quality plans, processes, and responses.
Identify and understand non-conformities as they relate to Safety-of-Flight and Critical Task List inspections, procedural breakdowns, and program (process) audits.
Assist with the conduct incident and/or mishap investigation audits and prepare quality documentation/reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information, and trends including failed process, recalls, corrective actions, and validations.
Assist with review and revisions to interim contract operating instructions.
Must be able to work any shift as required to support customer needs, including weekends.
Must be able and willing to travel to support customer needs.
Must be able to obtain and keep current respirator qualification.
Must be willing to obtain and keep current a Confined Space EA certification.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must have an Interim Secret Clearance to be considered for the position.
Must be a U.S. citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications
Candidate must have 6-8 years of recent (within the past 5 years) military aircraft maintenance experience.
Candidate must have a minimum of a USAF 7-level skill rating (or equivalent experience) or UNS/USMC Level 3000 ASM rating and/or 2 years of recent experience as a Quality Control Inspector/Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI)/Quality Assurance in an aircraft maintenance environment.
Experience in inspection of Aerospace Ground Equipment AGE/GSE; Hazardous Waste Management programs; Tool & FOD industry standards; equipment calibration procedures; general security procedures.
Desired skills
1-2 years 5th Generation (F-35, F-22) Fighter Aircraft experience in Maintenance, Modification, Launch, Recovery and/or Quality Assurance roles.
Working knowledge of F-35 Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Experience in Portable Maintenance Aid (PMA) activities such as aircraft forms documentation and supply chain management activities.
Working knowledge of Action Requests (AR).
Familiar with DCMA Instruction 8210.1C in association with aircraft ground operations and maintenance procedures.
Familiar with OPNAV 4790 Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) instructions and/or Air Force Instruction (AFI) 21-101.
Experience with AMS9000 Quality Management System (QMS) data base.
Experience with AS9100 Aerospace Standard internal audit processes.
Demonstrated ability to identify and understand nonconformities as they relate to Safety-of-Flight inspections, procedural breakdowns and/or program (process) audits.
Experience with evaluating process compliance, write/review Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) reports, perform root cause analysis and validate quality processes, responses and plans.
Possess effective communication skills for coordinating with Contractor Field Team (CFT) Leads, Aircraft Managers/Supervisors, Field Service Reps, System Engineers, Maintenance Logistics Support Managers, Customer (DCMA/GCQA), COR/QAE and maintainers regarding quality issues, Instrumentation System Integration, Deficiency Analysis/Reporting, customer complaints, and other issues related to higher quality as they occur.
Excellent organizational, administration, and computer skills.
