Are you a compassionate and dedicated registered nurse eager to make a difference in mental health care for children and adolescents? The Johns Hopkins Hospital’s Bloomberg 12 unit offers a rewarding opportunity to work across a comprehensive psychiatric care setting, including a 15-bed acute inpatient psychiatry unit, a 12-slot psychiatric Day Hospital for voluntary patients aged 5-17, and a 5-bed Psych Pod within our pediatric emergency department. Our patients present with a wide array of diagnoses such as mood disorders, anxiety, psychosis, bipolar disorder, and adjustment disorders, often alongside medical co-morbidities like asthma, diabetes, sickle cell, and cancer.

Position Details Role: Psychiatric and Pediatric Nurse Shifts: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive assessments, manage patient milieu, de‑escalate behavioral crises, administer medications, and provide holistic nursing care tailored to various ages and developmental capacities.
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; applicants enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within one year of hire and planning to complete within five years will also be considered.
Active Maryland or Compact RN license required.
BLS CPR certification required.
Minimum of one year of RN experience in psychiatric, mental health, or related inpatient care.

Salary Range Minimum $36.31/hour - Maximum $56.28/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
