Position Details
Full‑time COOK position, hiring immediately.
Location: Danbury Hospital – 24 Hospital Avenue, Danbury, CT 06810.
Schedule: Monday through Friday with rotating weekends. Varying shifts of 6:30 am‑3 pm, 8:30 am‑5 pm, 11:00 am‑7:30 pm, 2:30 pm‑11:00 pm.
Requirement: Two years of prior cooking experience.
Fixed Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour.

Job Summary Prepares food in accordance with applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines and regulations with established policies and procedures. Ensures quality food service is provided at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare high‑quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
Serve meals or prepare for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature and presentation.
Use established ticket collection procedures during service and maintain accurate records.
Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and proper food‑handling procedures.
Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat, ensuring food and supply items are stored per standards.
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
Assist in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
Assist in ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
Attend in‑service and safety meetings.
Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers.
Perform job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Ensure proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards.
Maintain personal safety and that of others.
Abide by company policies and procedures, including correct use of protective gloves and equipment.
