Job Description We’re expanding our well‑established pediatric clinic in Katy and are eager to welcome a passionate, dedicated Registered Dietitian II to our team. This role involves intermediate‑to‑advanced assessment, planning, implementation, and oversight for patients with low to high‑complexity nutritional needs. The position is independent, and the successful candidate will serve as an experienced RD who actively engages in quality improvement initiatives to elevate patient care.

Position Key Accountabilities
Nutrition Counseling: Provide tailored dietary advice and counsel patients, families, and caregivers to improve disease or condition management.
Treatment Plan Development and Implementation: Craft and execute personalized nutrition plans in collaboration with the healthcare team while maintaining accurate records per policy and regulatory standards.
Nutrition Education and Material Development: Utilize and personalize patient and family education materials.
Professional Proficiency and Collaboration: Facilitate training of colleagues in specialty skills.
Community and Health Agency Collaboration: Share nutritional program information with community health agencies.
Marketing and Promotion of Nutrition Services: Increase awareness of nutrition services and contribute to trend discussions.
Quality Improvement Participation: Engage in continuous improvement activities to optimize nutrition care outcomes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Certification / Skills
Comprehensive knowledge and professional judgment within qualifying limits.
Build collaborative relationships to promote professional growth.
Demonstrate effective problem solving and professional judgment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Proficient in the nutrition care process and model.
Good counseling skills with ability to engage a multi‑ethnic community.
Registered Dietitian (RD) by Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.
Licensed Dietitian by Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) required.
Specialty credentials may be required based on the assigned area of specialty and must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Maintains dietetic registration and continuing education hours as specified by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and state licensure regulations.
Minimum Education Graduate of an accredited nutrition program approved by the credentialing body.
Minimum Experience 3 years of Registered Dietitian experience.
Physical Requirements Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
Security Sensitive
Position complies with Texas Education Code 51.215 and Texas Government Code 411.094.
Requires routine review of criminal history and continuous connections to foreign adversaries to maintain security or infrastructure integrity (per Texas Business and Commerce Code 117.001(2)).
Multi‑level compliance with 15 C.F.R. and Texas statutes.
Residency Requirement Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
