We are seeking passionate, dedicated professionals to join our team and help us serve even more families with exceptional pediatric care. The role involves intermediate to advanced assessment, planning, implementation, and oversight for patients with low to high‑complexity nutritional needs, working independently while engaging in quality improvement measures to enhance patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Nutrition Counseling: Provide detailed dietary advice to patients, tailoring interventions to individual needs and recommending appropriate nutrition plans.

Treatment Plan Development and Implementation: Craft and execute comprehensive personalized nutrition plans in coordination with healthcare teams.

Nutrition Education and Material Development: Utilize and personalize patient and family education materials.

Professional Proficiency and Collaboration: Facilitate training of colleagues and build collaborative relationships to encourage professional growth.

Community and Health Agency Collaboration: Provide nutritional program information to community health agencies.

Marketing and Promotion of Nutrition Services: Increase awareness of the nutrition services offered and participate in team discussions to identify trends in clinical care.

Quality Improvement Participation: Participate in continuous quality improvement activities to optimize nutrition care outcomes.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Certification, Skills and Requirements

Registered Dietitian (RD) by Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.

Licensed Dietitian by Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) required.

Specialty credentials may be required; to be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Maintain dietetic registration and continuing education hours as specified by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and state licensure regulations.

Good counseling skills and ability to relate to a multi‑ethnic community and varied learning levels.

Efficient problem‑solving and professional judgment; strong communication and collaboration skills.

Proficient in the nutrition care process and model.

Minimum Education Graduate of an accredited nutrition program approved by the credentialing body.

Minimum Experience 3 years of registered dietitian experience required.

Physical Requirements Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
