This Registered Dental Assistant position is an integral member of our team and helpfosterourclinically ledculture.From being the doctor’s right hand, to having the ability to connect with patients, and striving to provide the best patient experience, Dental Assistantsare a key contributor to the success of our practice. As a Registered Dental Assistant with Northeast Texas Periodontal Specialists, you will be crossed train to support both back and front office within both locations.
This position will be covering 2 locations:
1010 W. Ralph Hall Parkway, Ste 101
Work Schedule:
Monday 9am - 4pm
Tuesday 9am - 4pm
Thursday 9am - 3pm
Friday 8am - 4pm
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year prior Dental Assistant experience required
Mus have RDA Certification
X-ray certificationwhere state regulations specify
Key Responsibilities
Assistthe dentist during a variety of treatment procedureswhile helping patients feel comfortable
Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
Manage infection controlbypreparingand sterilizinginstruments and equipment
Provide patients withfollow-upinstructionsfollowing all dental treatment procedures
Educate patients onappropriate oralhygiene strategies tomaintainoral health
Coordinate financial agreements and consent forms for the patient's financial responsibility of dental treatment
Assist patients with understanding their treatment plan and increase dental case acceptance
Assist with patient check-in, registration, and maintain patient health and dental records with strong attention to detail and adherence to HIPAA Privacy Practices

Working Environment & Physical Requirements
This is a clinical working environment where potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens is possible. Requires prolonged periods of standing, sitting, leaning, and bending up to 8 hours a day. Will berequiredto carry, transport, and use tools and equipment. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
