Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details
Location: Spokane, WA 99204
Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: November 17, 2025
End Date: February 16, 2026
Shift: Night, 3×12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
Hours per Week: 36
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1930 – $2070
Facility Setting: Short Term Acute Care / Level II Trauma Center
Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
Charting System: Epic
Parking: Free on-site parking
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Washington or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Cardiac Stepdown RN or Neuro Stepdown RN
Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records (EMR)
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (required)
Neuro nursing experience required
Ability to float between nursing units as needed
Willingness to work every other weekend
References: At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable clinical setting
Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities
Deliver direct patient care in Cardiac Stepdown and Neuro Stepdown units
Monitor and manage patients with chest tubes, craniotomies, CVA, external CPAP/BIPAP, and spinal cord injuries
Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring
Care for pre- and post-neurosurgery patients, including those with traumatic brain injuries
Administer and monitor procedural sedation
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
Maintain accurate nursing documentation using Epic EMR
Float to other hospital units as required to support patient care needs
Complete orientation and all required modules prior to assignment start
