Patient Access Opportunities Join The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center as a Registration or Scheduling Coordinator. We lead with quality patient care and innovation, and we need passionate people like you to join our team.

Responsibilities

Schedule return or other appointments as assigned.

Gather accurate appointment, demographic, and insurance information to support clinical and financial needs, including changes to insurance or other patient information.

Coordinate physician and consumer requests, providing support to physicians and consumers.

Solve routine and complex customer problems and instruct them on where to address specific questions.

Communicate regularly with clinical staff, medical secretaries, and staff within the product/service line to ensure customer and department staff needs are met.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

PC knowledge and interpersonal, verbal, and written communication recommended.

Minimum six months of experience in customer service or a healthcare environment.

Experience with Windows, Excel, and Intranet/internet navigation tools, medical terminology, coding, and third-party reimbursement preferred.

Ability to work in multiple systems for assigned tasks, management and reporting.

Strong problem‑solving and presentation skills.

High level of customer service skills.

Able to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks in a lively environment.
