Coho Integrated Solutions is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at the Rocky Mountain Regional VAMC, CO. This position is working at the Office of Community Care clinically reviewing consults/requests for completeness and appropriateness/utilization review. This is a 1-year position.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)

Dispositioning care in the community per utilization review and guidelines.

Clinical review of incoming medical records documenting communication with ordering providers and PCP.

Coordination of care—corresponding with veteran, community providers, internal providers/nurses, and admin staff to ensure the care and authorization.

The position requires independent judgment and nursing actions, flexibility, organizational skills, and the ability to utilize an interdisciplinary approach in the provision of nursing care.

The RN is subject to the professional direction of the VA Nurse Manager or designee during the workweek.

Essential Job Requirements

Citizenship: Proof of US Citizenship is required to work on this contract.

Education: Graduated from a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

Current BLS certifications.

Required Knowledge / Experience: Possess a current and unrestricted license in at least one (1) state, territory, or commonwealth in the U.S. or the District of Columbia.

A minimum of two (2) years direct patient care experience within the last three (3) years.

Work Schedule 0730 – 1600, Monday-Friday, excluding holidays, weekends / evenings, and no overtime on call.

Position Pay Range $36.67—$42.67 USD
