$38.00/hr - $44.00/hr Onsite in Georgetown, KY (approx. 25 minutes from Lexington – relocation considered, not paid) Duration: 12 months + possibility of extension Travel: Up to 50% Overtime: Up to 30% This position supports a major automotive manufacturing plant undergoing ongoing automation and robotics expansion. Ideal for someone who wants hands-on PLC work, robotics exposure, and direct impact on production / new equipment launches. What you’ll be doing: Review equipment specifications and design, identify improvements, conduct vendor buyoffs to confirm equipment functions, Install equipment, verify safety, quality, and productivity of equipment. Investigate to determine modification requirements. Implement modifications. Trial and adjust. Lower cost and decrease project time by confirming safety, quality, and productivity of equipment at vendor, prior to installation. Minimize adjustment time during vehicle trials by performing quality trials at vendor. Lower cost and decrease project time by overseeing installation by vendor, and facilitating process. Improve equipment quality and productivity by implementing adjustments, as identified during online vehicle trials. Confirm quality results by secondary method (Torque check, vacuum profiles, etc.) Install, setup and troubleshoot Toyopuc and Allen-Bradley program controllers Provide training to Maintenance members on newly implemented equipment Share Subject Matter Expert knowledge to local NAMC Maintenance and Production Members Travel up to 50% at times. What you'll bring: Strong PLC programming/troubleshooting ( Toyopuc, Seimens, Omron, Mitsubishi, or Allen Bradley)- 2 years Comprehensive knowledge of PLC’s - 2 years Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical circuits and Industrial controls- 2 years 2 year technical degree or completion of trade school program (EET or Industrial Maintenance Technology) and/or equivalent work experience. Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings Ability to travel up to 50% at times. (Including International travel) Ability to work up to 30% overtime when required. Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs on occasion Ability to frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching on varying surfaces. Manual dexterity to operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights. Good vision and hand-eye coordination for detailed repairs. Ability to work in various environments including hot, cold, or confined spaces Stamina to perform repetitive tasks and work long shifts. Additional Qualifications: 2+ years Industrial maintenance experience Knowledge of Industrial Robot programming and teaching Knowledge of AGVs/AMRs programming and set up Knowledge of safety scanners and programming. Knowledge of various industrial controls networking, EthernetIP, FLNet, ProfiNet ect. Automotive manufacturing experience. Seniority level
