Maintenance Technician Job Description
The Maintenance Technician ensures safe and reliable operation of equipment and facilities at our chemical manufacturing and distribution facility. Responsibilities include performing preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues, and maintaining a safe work environment aligned with operational goals.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
Complete projects assigned by the maintenance supervisor.
Maintain plant assets and mechanical systems, minimizing downtime and maximizing equipment utilization and life.
Think on your feet and adapt to changing circumstances promptly.
Own work processes and meet deadlines.
Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Work safely, adhering to company policies, safety protocols, OSHA requirements, and industry practices.
Communicate clearly and follow detailed instructions (verbal and written).
Understand, interpret, and follow technical construction and mechanical drawings and plans.
Use hand tools and plant machinery safely (e.g., JLG, forklifts).
Operate safely across varying climates (hot/cold, dry/humid).
