PRN Infusion RN
Texas Oncology is hiring a PRN Infusion RN to support our Infusion Department at the South Austin clinic (4101 James Casey). The PRN role covers Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5 pm, with no weekend, call, or major holiday coverage. Occasional travel to the Lakeway clinic is possible.

What does the Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) do? Under minimal supervision, the RN provides professional nursing care following national and company standards for specialty regulations. Responsibilities include collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, managing patient and family needs, and supporting the US Oncology Compliance Program.
Responsibilities
Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
Prepare and administer therapies under physician direction and supervision.
Administer all medications/blood products using correct dosage, route, time, and technique.
Ensure pre‑authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to administration of therapies.
Facilitate dose modification by assessing patient, labs, and consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting physician regarding dosage modifications, problems and symptom management.
Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices.
Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided.
Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited professional nursing education program; BSN preferred.
Minimum 0–3 years of RN experience.
Willing to consider entry, mid, or senior level candidates.
Current RN state license in the practicing state.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Physical Requirements Requires full range of body motion, handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, standing and walking for extensive periods, occasional lifting of up to 40 lb, and corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
