Offer Description Mission:

Carry out clinical studies linked to patients from the Mirades Solidàries program, research projects and children's visual screenings.

Functions to be developed:

Participate in retrospective, prospective studies or clinical trials carried out within the framework of clinical research at the CUV: selection and recruitment of the sample, planning of clinical sessions, preparation of measurement equipment with the data of the programmed patients, clinical care, carrying out tests for the collection of clinical data.

Coordinate, supervise and support the tasks assigned to the center's interns, such as: ordering processes, optical workshop tasks for fitting glasses and delivering glasses to patients.

Carry out clinical monitoring of cases and attention to incidents reported by patients.

Prepare support documentation for students, ensuring the correct functioning of the center's dynamics.

Support in the document management of patients referred for social action and communication with social workers and social action patients.

Cooperate with the technical director of the CUV in tasks related to the center's clinical activity.

Provide clinical care to patients participating in research projects.

Prepare reports with the clinical results of the research.

Complementary exploratory tests: OCT, topography, ocular biometry, objective refraction.

Optometric examinations and contact lens fitting.

Clinical cases: study, resolution and follow-up.

Other requirements to consider:

Management and coordination capacity in clinical and research environments.

Specific Requirements

Knowledge:

Visual examination protocol in optometry and contactology.

Visual examination protocols in childhood visual screenings.

Adaptation, dispensing and assembly of glasses.

Be studying or have studied a master's degree related to vision sciences.

Professional Experience:

Have carried out the management of an optometric office and its clinic.

Have participated in retrospective, prospective studies or clinical trials with the participation of child and/or adult patients, in the field of optometry and contactology.

In an optical workshop.

Participation in visual screenings in the child population.

Experience in functions similar to those described will be valued, specifically in the development of research activities, both in the university and industrial environment.

Additional Information Eligibility criteria

All the candidates who cannot prove the required academic degree will be immediately withdrawn from the selection process.

The

will be assessed according the following general criteria:

The maximum score for the candidates who accomplish all the eligibility criteria stated in the job offer will be 10 points.

Threshold: 5 points.

The maximum score (10 points) will be distributed as follows:

1 point for required speciality.

2 points for required academic training.

2 points for technic competences.

1 point for organisational competences.

3 points for professional experience.

1 point for any aspect of the candidate’s professional profile to be determined as specially relevant by the Selection committee.

If the selection committee decide to include a personal interview as additional step of the selection process, only the candidates scored 5 or above for their CV will be retained for the interview step.

The

interview

will be assessed according the following criteria:

Threshold: 3 points.

The maximum score will be distributed according the following criteria:

2 points for adequacy to functional competences of the job.

2 points for adequacy of professional experience.

1 point for any aspect of the candidate’s professional profile to be determined as especially relevant by the Selection committee.

The eligible candidates will be ranked from highest to lowest score, being this the selection criteria.
