What you will do
Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
Participate in ongoing assessment of patient care quality in collaboration with the management team.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes and service.
Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
Help operationalize nursing strategies such as employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, and assist with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor resources in accordance with patient care needs.
Maintain proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
1–3 years of clinical experience.
Associate’s Degree in Nursing or BSN.
Current Texas Registered Nursing license or a compact state license. (Required Upon Hire)
BLS certification required within 30 days; ALS within 6 months; ENPC within 12 months; TNCC or ATCN within 12 months; NIHSS within 60 days and annually.
Preferred: Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN).
