Labor and Delivery Unit Overview The Labor and Delivery unit is a fast‑paced environment with high acuity patients. It supports continuous learning, mentoring, and career growth for team members.
Patient Population Level III Maternal and Neonatal designations.
Unit Capacity 10 Labor & Delivery suites, 4 obstetrical emergency beds, 2 operating rooms, 2 PACU beds, and 5 high‑risk ante‑partum beds.
Department Specifics
Strong team atmosphere and culture of unity
Over 200 deliveries per month
Board‑Certified OB Physician on‑site 24/7
Active participation in the Texas AIM Plus initiative
Focus on quality, process improvement, and nursing certification

Qualifications
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited RN program
MAJOR: Nursing
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years in nursing, 3 years L&D preferred
REGISTERED NURSE (RN) license
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) within 30 days of hire
