Speech Language Pathologist Job Duties
Assess and evaluate students speech, language, and communication needs
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in individual or group settings
Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student progress
Conduct screenings, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and district requirements
Provide training and resources to staff and parents to support speech and language development
Federal and State Requirements
Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
Florida state licensure or eligibility as a Speech Language Pathologist
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) may be considered
Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and other applicable education laws
Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Florida school districts
