Job Description and Duties Under the general direction of the Chief of Digital Delivery and Innovation for California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority), the Information Technology (IT) Specialist II (Solutions Analyst) serves as a highly skilled analytical and technical expert responsible for supporting the innovation, customization, configuration, enhancement, and deployment of the Authority’s business solutions. This includes Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions, such as Salesforce and ServiceNow. The Solutions Analyst plays a key role in identifying and understanding business needs through close collaboration with program partners; researching, envisioning, recommending, and implementing effective IT solutions; and ensuring optimal performance and integration of applications across the Authority’s technology ecosystem. Additionally, the incumbent provides strategic and hands‑on support for complex IT systems, ensuring that solutions align with the Authority’s operational goals and stakeholder requirements, including those of contractors and partner agencies.
