Supervisor/Manufacturing Position Objective:

The Supervisor will support and guide machine operators in efficiently running their machines. This role requires a hands-on approach, with the supervisor being actively involved in learning and operating machines.

Positions open for first and second shifts Monday - Friday with some Saturdays.

Training is required on first shift.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in troubleshooting and maintaining production machinery.

Prior experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in food packaging.

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly and act decisively.

Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly instruct and support machine operators.

Bilingual Spanish is required.

Willingness to learn and operate new machinery, with an ability to adapt to changing production needs.

Ability to manage time effectively balancing supervision, troubleshooting, and learning new equipment.

Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.

Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

Job Responsibilities

Learn to operate various machines used in the production of food packaging products.

Provide day-to-day supervision and support to machine operators, ensuring machines are running efficiently and production goals are met.

Assist operators in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues with machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining production flow.

Train and mentor machine operators on best practices, safety protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.

Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing issues as they arise to ensure smooth operation across the production floor.

Monitor production quality to ensure products meet all relevant standards and specifications.

Ensure all production activities comply with company safety policies and industry regulations.

Work Environment Conditions

Fast-paced production floor with exposure to machinery noise and variable temperatures.

Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE.

Training

Machine training will be required upon hire.

Must complete ongoing training as required.

Machines, Tools, Equipment, Electronic Devices & Software

Must have experience with basic hand tools.

Must have experience with Microsoft Software.

Physical Activity Required for this Position

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Capacity to lift and carry heavy materials as needed.

Dexterity to operate and repair machinery.
