Amerit Fleet Solutions,
one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US is looking to hire a skilled
Diesel Mechanic in Londonderry, New Hampshire!
The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of Class 7 - 8 trailers and will operate vehicles and test all working parts in various functions to ensure proper operation.
Compensation:
$25-$30/hr
Hourly Pay, Depending on Experience - Paid weekly, every Friday!
Potential Sign-on Bonus up to $2,500 and eligible for other bonuses upon hire.
Shift:
Monday - Friday: 2 pm-10:30pm

What the Diesel Mechanic role looks like:
Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare the safety documentation required
Inspect and perform work on the underparts of vehicles
Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on the vehicle
Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
Perform other duties as required for our Diesel and Trailer Technicians
What our ideal candidate looks like:
Must have at least 2 years' experience performing vehicle and trailer maintenance.
Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
Must be able to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind the cab using normally available footholds and handholds
Must provide own hand tools
Perform DOT inspections
Basic computer skills
Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
Working Conditions:
Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes, and noise.
Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases, or other irritants
Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
Ability to move and position heavy objects
Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and crawl to repair vehicles
Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
