Summary
Job Summary:
The Patient Access Scheduling & Communications Coordinator Sr. (PASCC Sr.) proficiently executes a wide range of scheduling, registration, and communication functions within the centralized Patient Access call center. This role requires advanced critical thinking to analyze provider orders, transcribe clinical communications, and coordinate complex outpatient services. The senior proactively coordinates non-routine issues such as resolving displaced patient queues and scheduling conflicts. The role communicates effectively with patients, caregivers, and clinical teams. With limited to minimal supervision, the role mentors colleagues, supports training initiatives, and contributes to departmental performance through operational coordination and informed decision-making.
Minimum Experience and Education Required:
High School Diploma/GED
2 years’ experience in a call center, patient registration and/ or patient scheduling, plus 1 year of relatedcustomer service experience
OR
1 year of relevant patient access and/ or scheduling experience at Moffitt Cancer Center plus 1 yearof related customer service experience.
