Duties
Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
Execute food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently and accurately
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols
Assist with menu planning by providing input on dish presentation and ingredient selection to enhance customer satisfaction
Support the team during busy service hours by managing multiple orders simultaneously with precision
Handle food handling responsibilities responsibly, including proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety
Experience
Previous experience working as a line cook or in a similar food industry role is highly preferred
Demonstrated culinary experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is advantageous
Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques are essential for success in this role
Familiarity with dietary department standards and dietary aide experience is a plus for accommodating special dietary needs
Knowledge of food safety regulations, proper food handling procedures, and sanitation practices is required
Experience in catering or large-scale meal preparation can be beneficial for supporting diverse service needs
A background in restaurant service environments with a focus on quality food presentation and customer satisfaction will help you excel
