Full‑time and part‑time 8‑ and 12‑hour shifts. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at The Laurels of Defiance, you will work as part of a team providing skilled nursing and short‑term rehabilitation care to our valued guests. The LPN plans, coordinates, provides and manages nursing care services and health education to nursing home guests. Supervises the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), State‑Tested Nursing Assistants (STNA) and other team members who care for guests. Provides safe and accurate medication‑related interventions to guests. Assesses the health of guests and notifies the physician of changes in status, promptly implementing new orders. Selects and institutes appropriate nursing interventions to stabilize a guest’s condition and/or prevent complications. Contributes to the guest’s assessment (MDS/CAA’s) and the development of a plan of care. Qualifications
Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in the state CPR certification Ciena Healthcare is a national organization of skilled nursing, sub‑acute, rehabilitative and assisted living providers dedicated to achieving the highest standards of care in five states – Michigan, Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina and Indiana.
