Base Pay Range $26.41/hr - $35.59/hr
Job Description PUBLIC SAFETY DEPUTY - LATERAL
This position is open to applicants who currently hold SFO or LEO Certifications from Utah POST and have a minimum of one year experience.
Salary: $26.41 - $35.59 Hourly DOE.
General law enforcement at government campuses
Arresting, transporting, and booking people into a custodial facility as needed
Court Security; including bailiff services
Executive protection for county council, elected officials, judges, and other employees
Monitoring select county infrastructures to help ensure the safety of Salt Lake County citizens, visitors, and employees
Conducting comprehensive security assessments of vulnerabilities at county facilities

Additional Information Minimum Qualifications
Must be SFO or LEO certified and have a minimum of one year experience
Must possess a valid Utah Driver's license at time of hire
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Must be free of any physical, emotional, or mental condition that might adversely affect the performance of the applicant's duties as a peace officer
