Responsibilities
Perform patient assessments, including oral health screenings, charting, and periodontal evaluations
Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)
Maintain accurate and timely documentation and medical records
Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment options
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing
Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide (as permitted by license)
Assist with basic dental laboratory procedures
Adhere to strict aseptic and infection control protocols
Requirements
Valid state dental hygiene license
Knowledge of dental assisting procedures and dental terminology
Experience working with pediatric patients preferred
Dentrix experience helpful (we are happy to train the right person)
CAD software familiarity is a plus
