We are hiring a licensed massage therapist to provide therapeutic, personalized massage experiences that enhance the wellness and relaxation of our guests in the Nordic Spa.

Key Focuses

Provide therapeutic massage and bodywork tailored to guest needs.

Reiterate home care recommendations and retail sales.

Monitor and maintain the physical environment, ensuring cleanliness and organization at all times.

Strictly enforce privacy and confidentiality of all guest information.

Effectively handle guest comments and feedback both in person and in writing, with an ability to identify and resolve any concerns.

Follow all health and safety policies and ensure the safety of guests and colleagues; report safety concerns and hazards immediately.

Ensure spaces are clean, organized, and in good repair, supporting the Spa value that experiences should be as easy as water through fingers.

Complete work processes and checklists seamlessly to support the Spa value that we respect our guest’s inherent desire to be at peace.

Personal communication, interactions and behaviors support the Spa value that everyone is welcome and everyone is equal.

Experience / Education

Graduate from an accredited school of massage.

Registered and in good standing as a massage therapist in the state of Alaska.

Minimum of one-year work experience as a Registered Massage Therapist.

Previous massage team leadership or supervisory experience.

Working Conditions May work long days and/or weekends to meet periodic upturn in business demands or meet deadlines. The position is set in a fast‑paced environment with high levels of interaction with employees, guests, and other stakeholders. Work outdoors in varying mountain weather conditions, with average temperature ranges of -22 °F to 86 °F.

Physical Demands Regularly required to be on feet, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Must frequently lift/move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to observe employees in the workplace, analyze operations, and detect concerns. May be required to pass a functional capacity test.

Work Environment Noise level is usually moderate.
