What You’ll Do The Production Supervisor will be responsible for all functions at our industrial food waste processing facility in Longview, WA. Key responsibilities include maintaining a productive culture based on respect, managing accountability to standard work processes, hands‑on leadership with daily operations and maintenance tasks, and effective communication within the facility and the company.
Shifts Available
Night Shift: 2/2/3, 6 pm to 6:30 am
Responsibilities
Directly manage, hire and train operators and maintenance personnel; provide guidance and performance feedback
Oversee shift‑to‑shift operations of the plant, including production scheduling, workflow coordination, and resource allocation
Monitor production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement efficiency‑enhancing measures
Operate production machinery and equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines
Conduct regular inspections and routine maintenance to assess equipment condition, facility cleanliness, and ensure optimal performance
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime
Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for all employees
Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance, engineering, and logistics, to optimize plant performance and meet production targets
Maintain accurate production records and documentation
Maintain inventory levels and coordinate material procurement to support production
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies at all times
Prepare reports on plant performance, including production metrics, quality control data, and safety incidents
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry up to 50 lbs. frequently
Must be able to bend, stand, walk, sit, kneel frequently
Comfortable and able to transition on and off a forklift handling multiple tasks throughout a shift
Comfortable operating equipment and repetitive tasks throughout the shift
Capable of handling potential changes in temperature on site, humidity and wetness in the working area
What We’re Looking For
HS Diploma or equivalent
3+ years in an operations management role with hiring and people management
Proven track record of leading production/processing systems
Ability to work with ambiguity by asking thoughtful questions that provide data, which is then analyzed and synthesized to make balanced assessments and smart decisions
Mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
Familiarity with operating machinery and hand tools
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and instructions
Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping
