Interim Senior Accountant

Senior Director, Finance & Accounting at Vaco A fast‑paced retail company is seeking an Interim Senior Accountant with month‑end close. This role is highly hands‑on and ideal for someone who can jump in quickly, own key close areas end‑to‑end, and partner across AP, AR, FP&A, and Operations to keep things moving.

Responsibilities:

Prepare & record journal entries, reconciliations, flux analysis, and support schedules

Prepare and maintain reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts (accrued expenses, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, payroll‑related accounts, intercompany, etc.)

Build and maintain close documentation, schedules, and tie‑outs to improve audit readiness.

Support interim/annual audit and SOX (if applicable): respond to PBC requests, provide evidence, and explain account movements.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/INDEX‑MATCH, complex reconciliations); ERP experience required (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.).

Accounting experience; retail, eCommerce, or consumer products experience strongly preferred.

Base pay range $50.00/hr - $55.00/hr
