Program Overview The Crisis Service and Diagnostic Center provides individualized, short-term (up to 90 days) stabilization for up to sixteen (16) adults aged 18 and above with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD) and/or co-occurring behavioral health (BH) diagnoses. Individuals may experience psychiatric crises or significant emotional/behavioral challenges that threaten their home environment.
Position Overview The Nurse Manager will provide clinical leadership, staff management, regulatory compliance, and budget oversight. The role requires strong psychiatric knowledge, proven leadership abilities, and the capacity to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily nursing operations, ensuring effective resource management and facility functioning.
Lead nursing staff during crisis situations, ensuring proper delegation and coordinated care.
Manage staffing levels, develop schedules, and ensure adequate coverage to meet program needs.
Monitor and evaluate nursing care quality; implement quality improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.
Ensure staff are properly trained and competent in required clinical skills.
Participate in crisis interventions, assess patient needs, and provide clinical guidance to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
Develop and implement training programs focused on crisis management, de-escalation strategies, and specialized interventions, including healthcare plans.
Qualifications
Active Georgia RN license required.
Minimum of 5 years RN experience, including at least 2 years supervisory role.
Minimum of 2 years experience in behavioral health, IDD, or related field.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Preferred: Experience working with individuals with IDD.
