Job Description The Maintenance Mechanic performs a variety of tasks to assist in all aspects of maintenance operations.
Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Assisting other maintenance technicians with day‑to‑day tasks
Going to various locations to pick up or drop off parts for equipment
Moving vehicles to and from other facilities for routine maintenance
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment
Perform maintenance on trailers, tractors, tankers and other equipment
Be able to rebuild/repair pumps and gearboxes
Keep a clean and pristine work area at all times
Wear proper PPE as required for the task being performed
Have the ability to perform minor metal fabrication as needed on equipment
Be able to utilize welding equipment and use the appropriate PPE for the task.
Able to follow directions, prioritize tasks, and work unsupervised at times.
Utilize a forklift in standard operations in the maintenance area.
Have knowledge of hydraulic/PTO systems used on tractors/ trailers.
Perform other tasks as assigned
Pay rate starting at $32.00 depending on experience.
Qualifications Basic Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in related field
Driver’s license
Preferred Requirements Physical and Mental Demands
Willing and able to work outdoors in any climate condition
Ability to work in a busy, often distracting work environment
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted on an occasional basis
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
