Book Personalization Supervisor (2nd Shift)
Position Type: Full time | Location: Tucson, Arizona | Shift: 2nd Shift
Position Overview CGI Federal is seeking a Book Personalization Supervisor to lead the daily activities across Book Print, Card Print, Quality Control, and Mailroom departments at the Tucson Passport Center Book Print Production facility. The Supervisor will set priorities, ensure smooth transition between departments, train staff, and uphold quality and security standards.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, direct, and coordinate daily activities of book print, card print, quality control, and mailroom operations.
Passport book and card personalization, verifying accuracy of printed data and quality of personalized passport books and cards.
Proper delivery of passports and cards to applicants.
Operate automated postal machines and coordinate all mail pick‑ups by USPS and private carriers.
Set work priorities and ensure seamless transition of all work between departments.
Monitor department production, adjust processes to meet production goals.
Assign and review work of subordinates; conduct performance appraisals and recommend salary reviews.
Track employee time and attendance.
Provide coaching, counsel employees, and conduct disciplinary actions as required.
Assist in recruiting and hiring process for the department.
Conduct training on work procedures, regulations, and postal requirements.
Interface regularly with CGI and Department of State managers.
Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship.
Successful completion of CGI Background Investigation (50 State Criminal, Education, Employment, and Credit Checks).
Ability to obtain and maintain Moderate Risk Public Trust security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years supervising staff in a production environment OR 5 years of direct supervision of at least 5 people in a production environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel and Word.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in a quota‑based production environment such as manufacturing or call centers.
Experience lifting and carrying 35 pounds repetitively.
Compensation A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $48,500.00 – $121,900.00.
