Description You will be the Software Engineer Sr Stf - Test Automation - Level 5 for the Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) team which is responsible for system‑level test automation of the F‑16 and FA‑50 avionics.

What You Will Be Doing As the Software Engineer Sr Stf - Test Automation - Level 5, you will lead all test‑automation activities for the Integrated Fighter Group. You will shape the automation architecture, drive script development, and partner with engineering, flight‑test, and software teams to deliver high‑quality, repeatable test solutions.

Responsibilities

Define and evolve the test‑automation strategy and architecture for F‑16 and FA‑50 programs.

Lead the creation, review, and maintenance of automated test scripts using TWIN and Python.

Establish team processes, standards, and best practices for automation across SI&T.

Develop basis‑of‑estimate (BOE) documentation for future automated test initiatives.

Coordinate with the automated test environment, project engineering, and airborne software teams to integrate and execute the automated testing pipeline.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering preferred)

Test automation experience

Systems integration and test experience

Desired Skills

Experience with avionics system integration and test (test plans, test procedures, test requirements, test reports, automated test, verification test)

Experience within the Architecture, Design, Integration & Test (ADIT) organization

Experience supporting the defense or commercial aviation industry

Experience leading and architecting test automation strategy for a team

Experience developing a vision for an organization or team

Experience architecting and incorporating AI/ML into existing development and test processes

Experience using automation in desktop simulation and Hardware In The Loop (HITL) environments

Knowledge and use of a variety of test automation tools

Knowledge of big data/AI uses for automated tools

Experience with EVMS/CAM

Knowledge of SI&T handoffs and connections to flight test

Experience standing up and implementing new software tools including automation frameworks

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work in a collaborative and team‑based environment

Proficient with Microsoft Office

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
