This position provides hands‑on support for IT hardware infrastructure while applying a solid working knowledge of software applications. The role focuses on the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of physical IT assets, along with supporting operating systems, enterprise applications, and end‑user technologies. The individual will troubleshoot issues and develop effective solutions across both hardware and software environments.

Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, desktops, laptops, and peripheral hardware.

Manage enterprise‑class hardware platforms, including servers, storage, and networking equipment.

Perform hardware diagnostics, repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance.

Support data center and on‑premises infrastructure, including rack/stack, cabling, and power management.

Coordinate hardware lifecycle management, including procurement, deployment, and asset tracking.

Install, configure, and support Windows and Linux operating systems.

Assist with server builds, virtualization platforms, and basic cloud‑connected infrastructure.

Support Active Directory user and device management.

Perform system updates, patching, and performance monitoring.

Provide support for standard business software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, collaboration tools, line‑of‑business applications).

Assist with software installations, upgrades, licensing, and troubleshooting.

Work with application owners and vendors to resolve technical issues.

Support basic scripting or automation tasks as needed.

Provide Tier 2 technical support for hardware‑ and software‑related issues.

Support desktop and laptop deployments, imaging, and refresh cycles.

Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Follow IT best practices for security, compliance, and change management.

Education Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience

3–5 years of experience in IT engineering or technical support roles with a strong emphasis on hardware.

Experience supporting enterprise or mid‑sized corporate environments preferred.

Required Skills & Technical Knowledge

Operating Systems: Windows 10/11, Windows Server; basic Linux knowledge

Networking: Basic understanding of LAN/WAN, switches, routers, and cabling

Virtualization: Working knowledge of VMware, Hyper‑V, or similar platforms

Software Applications: Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 and common enterprise applications

Troubleshooting: Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills

Documentation: Ability to create and maintain technical documentation

Preferred Skills

Experience with hardware vendors such as Dell, HP, or Lenovo

Familiarity with backup solutions and basic disaster recovery concepts

Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS

Strong attention to detail and organization

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Effective communication skills with technical and non‑technical users

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
