Baptist Beaches is looking to add a Quality Coordinator in our Health Information Management department at Baptist Beaches. This is a Full-Time Days position. The Quality Coordinator will be working in Physicians Services.
As a Quality Coordinator in the Health Information Management (HIM) department at Baptist Beaches, you’ll play a key role in ensuring patient medical records are accurate, complete, and compliant.
Your week will include collaborating with physicians and the HIM team to review and audit documentation, scanning and performing quality checks in Solarity and OnBase, managing deficiencies, and supporting Joint Commission compliance.
You’ll also assist with release of information requests, monitor Epic work queues, and help maintain the physician suspension process.
In this role, you’ll work closely with a supportive team to uphold high standards of quality and patient care within our Physician Services department.
Shift Details Monday – Friday 8:00am -4:30pm
Responsibilities
Working with medical staff, Team Lead, and HIM team to ensure patient medical records are complete and timely.
Auditing and reviewing documentation for required elements for Joint Commission compliance.
Accurately assign and re-assign deficiencies to ensure timely record completion, assist external customers with release of information requests.
Scanning documentation into Solarity and/or Media Manager, perform QA in Solarity.
Correcting scanning errors in OnBase, monitor Epic work queues for declined or incorrectly assigned orders and documentation, and maintain physician suspension process.

Experience
7+ years Relevant equivalent experience in lieu of education
1-2 years Experience working in a hospital setting Required
1-2 years Medical Records Experience Required
Licenses and Certifications
Certified Coding Associate (CCA) Preferred
Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) Preferred
Certified Coding Specialists – Physician-based (CCS-P) Preferred
Certified Documentation Improvement Professional, (CDIP) Preferred
Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) Preferred Or
Certified Health Document Specialist (CHDS) Preferred
Certified in Healthcare Privacy and Security (CHPS) Preferred
Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) Preferred Or
Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) Preferred
