AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country
We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year
Role Overview The Volunteer and Library Manager is responsible for system wide management in the daily operations and the ongoing development of the Cancer Resource Libraries, the Interactive Systems, Patient Education wall units and Volunteer Team, and oversees the Concierge Courtesy Shuttle service. Provides support to various campuses and contracted outlying hospitals (i.e. FH Waterman and FH Flagler) which benefits patients, families, visitors, employees, educators, and physicians. Assists in the planning and implementation of Cancer Resource Library, Volunteer team, and Concierge service expansions. Provides support for all community health fairs and events. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accredited bodies.

Provides staff management of Library Coordinator at FHCI Winter Park, volunteers for FHCI system wide and light-duty staff for Cancer Resource Libraries.
Recruits, trains, mentors, and manages volunteers for FHCI Cancer Resource Libraries system wide.
Identifies the need for ongoing volunteer training, recruitment, and retention of volunteers.
Manages the day to day operations of FHCI Cancer Resource Libraries system wide and the Concierge Courtesy Shuttle service for FHCI patients and guests at FHCI Orlando campus.
Manages budgets for Cancer Resource Libraries system wide except oversees FHCI Winter Park budget.
Maintains statistics on visitors, patient education packets, and all materials distributed internally and externally.
Responsible for the inventory, master index, files, and supplies for all Libraries, Inpatient education wall units, and Interactive Systems.
Responsible for contracted outlying hospitals providing Cancer Resource Library updates bi-annually for the Master Index, inventory and monthly revisions as appropriate.
Qualifications
Work Experience Required in the following: college studies or work experience in a field such as business management or healthcare
Hospital-related experience in business management or hospital administrative services
Working with volunteers
Driver’s License (DL) Required
