Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Controller at Mouhalis Capital Management located in Port St Lucie, FL. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, managing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. The Controller will also collaborate with senior management to make strategic financial decisions.

Responsibilities

Manage Bookkeeping, AP/AR, Ordering, Forecasting, Budgeting, Financial reporting, Internal controls, Accounting policies, Financial operations.

General back-office support for our commercial real estate company & franchise business.

Thorough understanding of double entry accounting/GAAP, calculating and booking depreciation schedules, journalizing property purchase transactions & accompanying depreciation schedules, accrual calculation & booking, credit card reconciliations, etc.

Assist in maintaining financial records and bookkeeping duties such as accounts payable, payroll processing, and reconciliations.

Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.

Support HR functions such as maintaining employee records and assisting with onboarding processes.

Handle confidential information in a professional and discreet manner.

Qualifications

"Figure it out" mentality

Financial Reporting, Budgeting, and Forecasting skills

Knowledge of accounting regulations and compliance

Experience in financial analysis and strategic financial planning

Proficiency in financial software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel

Strong organizational, leadership, and decision-making abilities

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Big 4 accounting experience preferred
