Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-location environment and is passionate about driving HR compliance and supporting various projects related to company expansion.
You’ll partner with leadership and local management teams across multiple locations to ensure HR best practices are followed, lead compliance audits, and contribute to HR initiatives that align with operational growth. A people-first attitude and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities with professionalism and positivity are essential.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Compliance
Conduct regular HR compliance audits across store locations and corporate departments
Maintain and update HR policies and procedures in accordance with labor law and company standards
Ensure proper documentation and accuracy in employee records (I-9s, personnel files, benefit data)
Manage onboarding and orientation for new hires at corporate and store level
Administer payroll and benefit processes via ADP Workforce Now
Handle Paid Family Leave (PFL), Disability (DBL), and Unemployment Insurance (UI) claims and related documentation
Ensure timely processing, accuracy, and compliance with state and federal leave regulations
Internal Investigations & Employee Relations
Support and conduct internal HR investigations in collaboration with Management Team
Assist local management in addressing misconduct, policy violations, or employee complaints
Provide guidance to managers on performance, corrective action, and employee relations matters
Maintain confidentiality and objectivity while ensuring fair and consistent resolution of issues
Support for Expansion Projects
Support HR setup for new location openings and operational growth initiatives
Assist with onboarding, training, and systems implementation in new or restructured locations
Collaborate with Operations and IT teams to ensure smooth employee transitions and readiness
Participate in projects focused on workforce planning, efficiency, and compliance scalability
Talent, Training & Development
Collaborate with the corporate recruiter to align hiring strategies with business needs
Design and facilitate training for managers and frontline teams on HR topics and workplace policies
Conduct skills assessments and monitor training completion and effectiveness
Collaborate with Customer Service and Operations departments to deliver cross‑functional learning
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a generalist or supervisory role
Solid understanding of labor laws, HR compliance and regulatory requirements (PFL, DBL, UI)
Experience handling HR investigations and employee relations
Comfortable working across multi‑site operations and adapting to dynamic priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel – pivot tables, reports, etc.)
Hands‑on experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS / payroll platforms
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for travel
Bilingual in English and Russian is a strong plus
