As Project Manager II, you will own, initiate, plan, execute, and finalize medium‑ to large‑scale projects independently from inception to completion. Your responsibilities include leading cross‑functional projects of relative complexity, applying best practices in project management and fabrication, ensuring project health, adhering to schedules and budgets, acquiring resources, coordinating team members and vendors, and overseeing technical design, engineering schedules, and quality control throughout the life cycle.

Responsibilities

Manage emissions systems projects for a variety of industry applications including Energy, HRSG or Simple Cycle power plants, and Refineries.

Document and manage the scope and detailed requirements through the life of the project.

Work with the Engineering group to generate document deliverables and obtain customer approval of proposed design.

Maintain the project schedule, communicating and following up regularly with team members to ensure tasks are completed according to plans.

Collaborate with project engineering to maintain schedule and seek out change orders.

Develop project plans for schedule, resources, and budget.

Collaborate with resource managers, lead team members, Finance, and executives.

Report status to project stakeholders through formal communications (e.g., monthly status reports, bi‑weekly snapshot reports, project plan updates) and informal methods (e.g., ad‑hoc requests and email).

Communicate effectively with project team members, management, and stakeholders on project goals, objectives, status, issues, risks, and mitigation solutions.

Monitor actual project hours and costs against estimates and budget.

Make decisions on final subcontractor selections based on total cost of ownership and ensure project goals are met.

Lead logistic preparations, field installation support, and coordinate commissioning to close the project with invoices paid fully and lessons learned for customer satisfaction.

Travel domestically and internationally when necessary (up to 30%).

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of project management experience in energy, emissions controls, refinery, or structural steel fabrication.

B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, Industrial engineering, Project Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of industry processes, mechanical, structural, electrical, instrument, and controls with ability to interpret P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, detailed fabrication drawings, and create field erection procedures.

Ability to overcome obstacles to achieve goals and adapt to a changing environment.

Experience using MS Project, MS Office, Excel, and understanding of ERP.

Ability to work collaboratively within a creative, professional team environment.

Incumbents are expected to travel as needed to support assigned business lines and must have the ability to travel across borders.

Valid driver’s license required.

Preferred Qualifications

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

Travel Requirements

Travel domestically and internationally when necessary (up to 30%).

Valid driver’s license required.

Work Environment: This position is based at the headquarters located in Dallas, TX. Minimal physical requirements, primarily computer use, and communication via virtual platforms, are necessary. Flexibility to adapt to occasional scheduled video meetings and collaborative tasks is essential. Positions in this function typically require typing, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Concentrated mental and/or visual attention is required. The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of the job.
