Housekeeping and Maintenance Technician - No Boiler
Location: East Terrace Coop, Cambridge, MN. 60 hours every two weeks, part‑time day shift with no weekends.
Job Overview Ebenezer seeks a Housekeeping and Maintenance Technician to join our senior cooperative team. The role reports to the Property Manager or Property Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for overall housekeeping and maintenance of the building.
Responsibilities
Clean assigned public areas including floors, carpets, surfaces, bathrooms, and glass; prioritize tasks to finish on time and assist with emergency spill cleanup.
Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
Handle routine maintenance tasks: complete work orders promptly, perform inspections and repairs, document work, keep grounds clear (e.g., snow removal), and support preventive maintenance programs.
Perform general repair and maintenance tasks using hand and power tools, change belts and filters, lubricate equipment, and handle light electrical and plumbing repairs. Responsibilities also include fixing damaged fixtures and appliances, performing carpentry work, assisting with custodial and grounds duties, setting up common areas, preparing apartments for turnover, maintaining heating systems through annual inspections, and providing daily task reports to the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
Basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Current driver’s license in good standing.
Preferred Qualifications
Vocational/technical training.
Associate degree (Applied Science) in HVAC or related field.
Three to five years of relevant experience.
