About This Position:
We are looking for a Production Supervisor who will join the Manufacturing Operations team, reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager; this position is located at our facility in Lewisburg, TN. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations, coordinating personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective production that meets customer demand and Marelli’s PBM goals.
As Production Supervisor I, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Evaluate production schedules to plan and optimize manpower allocation.
Review production progress against targets and implement corrective actions as needed.
Organize and direct manufacturing staff, ensuring process adherence.
Supervise workflow and monitor production quality.
Manage shop floor operations, mentoring Line Leads and providing guidance to hourly staff.
Monitor, record, and report on production metrics (e.g., output, scrap costs, overtime, first runs).
Create cross-training plans and maintain accurate training records.
Monitor and maintain daily time and attendance records.
Troubleshoot quality, safety, and production issues.
Facilitate communication with Maintenance, Engineering, Tooling, MIS, and Production Control.
Manage established PBM goals in quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale.
Conduct evaluation of customer returns and lead weekly quality meetings.
Supervise 3S/5S activities to maintain workplace organization and safety.
Monitor inventory levels to meet shipping and delivery requirements.
Foster a union-free work environment.
Build and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
What Qualifications You Will Bring:
High school diploma or GED.
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (and 0–2 years’ experience in manufacturing supervision), or Associates degree with at least 2 years of supervisory/leadership experience, or Non-Degreed with minimum 4 years supervisory/leadership experience, or Internal non-degreed candidates: minimum 1 year at MNAand 2 years’ experience in a leadership role in manufacturing (time in MNA lead or production specialist roles counts).
Ability to pass background checks, pre-employment tests, and drug screening.
Commitment to confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Other Skills That We Would Welcome:
Experience in motivating and developing hourly teams.
Strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of PBM frameworks in manufacturing environments.
Background with 3S/5S and Lean best practices.
Exposure to cross-functional collaboration (Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, etc.).
Experience in union-free environment management.
Expectations from You in This Position:
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related software).
Demonstrated ability to resolve production, quality, and safety issues quickly and effectively.
Strong recordkeeping skills in attendance, training, and production metrics.
