Position : Maintenance Technician (Full time)
Location : 827 19th Avenue South, Nashville, Tennessee 37203. Online applications only.
Schedule : Full time; Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Experience : Three years of facilities maintenance technician experience.
Pay : $30.00 per hour.
Job Summary Assists in maintaining plant, shop, mechanical areas, exterior grounds and campus facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains, repairs, cleans and operates facilities and grounds.
Performs basic maintenance duties and repairs as assigned; contacts supervisors or vendors as instructed.
Updates work statuses, timing, and costs of repairs using company tech systems.
Provides fleet maintenance support including welding, plumbing, electrical, food truck kitchen maintenance, vehicle operation, on‑campus fleet troubleshooting, generator fixes, and general maintenance.
Assists in making decisions on minor and routine repairs; reports major problems to supervisor or foreman.
Cleans sidewalks and parking areas; disposes trash, debris, and branches.
Operates electrical and gasoline-powered equipment.
Maintains equipment; performs minor equipment repairs using power and hand tools.
Performs minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical work, lamp changing and drywall maintenance.
Responds to emergency problems and performs emergency repairs as needed.
Maintains logs, performs rounds and completes maintenance work orders, inspections.
Reads, comprehends and transmits detailed instructions verbally and in writing.
Serves as a member of the facility's emergency response team.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
One year of related maintenance experience or grounds maintenance occupation.
Valid driver’s license.
Working Conditions
Exposure to high heat, noise, dust, dirt, and infection control areas.
Must meet daily completion deadlines; work all hours including weekends and nights if necessary.
