The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry‑level, short‑term position that prepares an employee to perform higher‑level supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor.
The trainee completes basic operations and management skills training, learns about key aspects of the business (e.g., building customer loyalty through exceptional service), and familiarizes themselves with CVS/pharmacy culture.
Upon successful completion, trainees are eligible to be considered for promotion to open Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor positions. Essential Functions
Work effectively with store management and store crew. Supervise the store’s crew by assigning, directing and following up on all activities. Communicate information both to and from store management and crews. Assist customers with their questions, problems and complaints. Promote the CVS customer service culture by greeting, offering help, and thanking customers. Handle all customer relations issues in accordance with company policy and promote a positive shopping experience for all CVS customers. Maintain customer/patient confidentiality. Required Qualifications
Deductive reasoning ability, analytical skills and computer skills. Advanced communication skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early morning, overnight and weekend shifts, and to work overtime as needed. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in retail. Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent – Preferred but Not Required. Hours and Pay
Anticipated Weekly Hours: 40 Time Type: Full time Pay Range: $17.00 – $26.00 per hour Benefits
