Warehouse Material Handler – Ryder System, Inc.
Ryder is immediately hiring for a Permanent Full‑Time Warehouse Material Handler in Jackson, Tennessee. The candidate will use state‑of‑the‑art equipment to safely handle food products and operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks.
Position Description • Pay: $18.84 per hour, paid weekly.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred)
Valid Forklift Operator's License (certified)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Ability to be a team player and work within a diverse work environment
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization
Highly thorough and dependable
Must be punctual with a good attendance record
Works independently with minimal supervision
Displays a high degree of initiative
Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure
Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to work using health and safety methods
Must be available to work on a flexible schedule on various work shifts
Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices
Additional Information Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, a road test, and/or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
Responsibilities
Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
Operate within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, staging of products, and load/unload trucks
Handle day‑to‑day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during core shift hour of production
Perform other duties as assigned
